"Identity and vision: Projecting your station's mission"

Last Thursday, April 26, was the University of California Radio Network's annual conference hosted by none other than our very own local university station, KCSB at the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a special feature at this year's event, Jacob and Calia Minassian participated in a panel on nonprofit branding and identity. The Oniracom duo presented "on the value of a consistent identity and concrete strategies that college radio stations can use to increase their visibility," and hosted a Q&A following their panel. Check out the event recap here.

UCSB Entertainment Panel

This past Tuesday, Jacob participated in an entertainment panel hosted by the Communication Association at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Along with other Oniracom creatives, Jacob spoke with Communication students about the intricacies of entertainment and lifestyle branding. The event was a great success, and an exciting exchange with the creative marketing students of UCSB.

"Take Note from the Music Industry"

Last Friday, Jacob presented to the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara on the importance of social media marketing and what we can all learn (as a brand, product, or platform) from the music industry. His presentation covered direct to fan interactions, process vs product discussion, the importance ambassadors, user generated content campaigns, crowd funding, merchandise bundles, and fan clubs, each accompanied by a relevant and in-depth case study from which to learn. A well received demonstration, Jacob taught us all why it's important to take a 'note' from the music industry.
